Mountain Manor Treatment Center at Baltimore

 

Mountain Manor is a residential substance abuse treatment center for adolescents and young adults experiencing complex emotional problems in addition to their substance abuse issues.  We are located on Frederick avenue in West Baltimore with easy access to I-95 and I-695.

 

Counselor Technicians -- FT and PT

 

The primary function of the Counselor Technician is to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient population, to ensure that the patients are properly supervised at all times and to assist the counselors in achieving each patient’s individual treatment goals.  Counselor Technicians are afforded the opportunity to participate in many clinical training sessions that contribute to their effectiveness with the patient population.

 

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

At least one year of experience working with youth in a residential, school or clinical setting

 

Preferred Background:

One year technical school or AA Degree

2-4 years relevant experience

Substance Abuse Counselor -- FT


The overall responsibility of the Outpatient Adolescent Counselor is to provide the delivery of effective clinical services to chemically dependent and dually diagnosed adolescents and to assure continuity of care through appropriate assessment, treatment planning, and referral.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to
1. Conducting patient interviews and individual counseling for purposes of evaluation and assessment
2. Constructing treatment plans in a coordinated effort with the patient, parent/guardian and other clinical team members
3. Facilitating and directing group counseling
4. Develop, maintain, and present prevention and education materials to the patients
5. Make accurate timely and legible entries in patient record, adhering to both clinical and administrative policy and procedures
 

Minimum Requirements:
Technical School or AA Degree
Maryland Board Of Professional Counselors Certification of CSC-AD or Trainee Status
1-2 years of relevant experience

Preferred Background:
Bachelor's Degree
CSC-AD,CPC-AD, LPC, LCADC, or LCSW-C
2-3 years of relevant experience
